Ravello Day Trip

Our home base during our time in the Amalfi Coast was in Positano and we took day trips to the nearby towns along the coast. We took a ferry too Amalfi then a bus all the way up to Ravello. The main attractions in Ravello are the paid entrance gardens but you can get a pretty amazing view right in front of where the busses drop off.

Ravello Town Center

Strolling through theΒ main town square in RavelloΒ felt like stepping into a postcard. The weather was absolutely perfectβ€”warm sunshine, a gentle breeze, and clear blue skies that made the town’s charm even more magical. We wandered past lively cafΓ©s and boutique shops, stopping to admire theΒ beautiful bell tower of the Duomo di Ravello, its historic stonework standing tall against the sky. As we explored, we browsed through quaint souvenir shops filled withΒ hand-painted ceramics, locally made linens, and bottles of limoncello, each one a little piece of Ravello’s charm to take home.Β

Villa Cimbrone

Walking throughΒ Villa CimbroneΒ felt like a fairytale, with its lush gardens, ancient statues, and hidden pathways leading to breathtaking views. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers as we wandered through the beautifully manicured gardens, each turn revealing something more enchanting than the last.

Highlights and photo locations:

Hidden Events Center

we couldn’t resist venturing down beneath the gardens to discover the stunningΒ wedding venueΒ tucked away under the historic estate. Stepping into the space, we were immediately captivated by theΒ dramatic Gothic arches, which added a sense of timeless romance to the hidden setting. The soft light filtering through the stone archways created a magical, almost mystical atmosphere, making it easy to see why so many couples choose this spot to say “I do.”Β

Terrazza dell’Infinito

Standing on theΒ Terrazza dell’InfinitoΒ atΒ Villa CimbroneΒ was truly a moment to remember. The view was absolutely breathtakingβ€”an endless expanse of deep blue sea meeting the sky, with the Amalfi Coast’s dramatic cliffs stretching far into the horizon. Lined with elegant marble busts, the terrace felt like something out of a dream, a place where time seemed to stand still. We stood there in awe, taking it all in, the warm breeze and golden sunlight making the experience even more magical. It was one of those rare places that completely takes your breath away, a perfect reminder of whyΒ RavelloΒ is one of the most beautiful spots in the world.

The Cloister

This is a serene and beautiful area within the villa known for its midlevel-style arches, ivy-covered walls, and peaceful garden atmosphere. It reflects a bleb of Gothic and Moorish architectural influences.
